American Heart Association in Chicago is hiring a Development Director to drive revenue for our Heart Walk campaign. The role leads fundraising with corporate sponsors and individual donors, building and maintaining relationships while guiding a three-person team.

This full-time, field-based position offers a hybrid schedule and local travel up to 70% with occasional overnight trips. You will develop proposals, recruit executive volunteers, and coordinate events, with incentive pay up to 25% of

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in fundraising, sales, or related field.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel up to 70% locally and some overnight trips; reliable transportation.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by securing local corporate sponsorships and individual donations; achieve revenue goals.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective corporate sponsors and donors.
• Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership and day-of-event volunteers.
• Recruit corporate team participation in Heart Walk and motivate fundraising.
• Lead Cor Vitae giving society engagement and events.
• Plan and implement events with internal and external partners.
• Work with Communications Director to support campaign communications.
