Valley Health seeks a Registered Nurse II for the Nursing Float department in Virginia. The RN II will provide patient care following the nursing process, participate in teaching, quality and safety initiatives, and support leadership on the unit.

The role requires an RN license, 1872 hours of RN experience equivalent, and mandatory BLS certification, with BSN preferred. The position emphasizes teamwork and professional development within a top health system.

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing degree (RN Diploma, ASN or ADN) required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• RN license in Virginia or eligible to practice in Virginia.
• BLS Certification required before or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation.
• Ensure quality communication, teamwork and leadership within the unit.
• Direct, coordinate and implement patient teaching and safety initiatives.
• Act as Charge Nurse and participate in department initiatives.
