Job summary

Elisa Bradley’s laboratory to study arrhythmia and heart failure in congenital heart disease, employing cell culture, imaging and electrophysiology techniques. The successful candidate will analyze data, present results in manuscripts and grant applications, and assist with training and lab management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 1+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience with cell culture, qPCR/PCR, Western blot, and basic molecular biology techniques.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-center submission of human subjects data and biologic specimens.
• Assist postdoctoral and predoctoral teams with projects (qPCR, western blot, basic lab techniques).
• Prepare human iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and perform contraction analyses, patch clamping, and drug studies.
• Prepare cDNA clones for transfection, process DNA/protein samples for PCR and Western blotting; maintain cell lines.
• Transfect cell lines, perform pharmacological assays with microplate reader, and conduct RT-PCR.
• Oversee transgenic mice colony maintenance, perform gel electrophoresis and PCR; analyze data.
• Provide training to lab staff to ensure proper execution of duties.
