Job summary

Rush Heart & Vascular, part of the Rush University System for Health, seeks a Heart & Vascular Service Line Manager, Advanced Practice Provider (APP). This leadership role oversees APPs across inpatient, outpatient, procedural, and specialty cardiovascular programs in Chicago, IL.

The APP Manager partners with physicians, nursing, and operations to advance priorities, optimize practice models, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care.

Qualifications

• Five years of APP experience in Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Vascular Surgery, or Interventional Radiology.
• Leadership/management experience preferred.
• Acute Care Certification required for APRN candidates.
• Active Illinois license as NP/PA with appropriate credentials.
• Expertise in cardiovascular patient care and APP practice management.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct oversight and management of APPs across inpatient, ambulatory, and procedural cardiovascular programs.
• Partners with physicians, nursing, and operations to set strategic clinical priorities.
• Ensures APP practice integration across cardiac and vascular care settings.
• Oversees staffing, scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
• Manages performance evaluations, competencies, and professional development.
