Job summary

Requirements include graduation from an accredited program, an Ohio LPN license or an approved Medical Assistant certification, current BLS, and 1–3 years of relevant physician office or hospital experience. 80 hours per pay period, days, full-time.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Must have a valid unrestricted LPN license for the State of Ohio or Certification as a Medical Assistant by an approved national examination agency required. Current BLS is required.
• One to three years’ experience specific to physician office practice or hospital setting is preferred.
• Competency with applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing and skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence are also required.

Responsibilities

• The LPN performs clinical duties related to day-to-day operations of the physician’s office.
• LPN / CMA responsibilities include administering medications, assisting with special procedures, instructing patients and families, and reviewing and maintaining patient charts.
