Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, Ohio is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver patient care under physician direction in the Lima Medical Office Building. The LPN will assess patients for provider visits, document responses to care, and support the health care team during appointments.

Responsibilities include direct nursing care, preparing patients, assisting procedures, and coordinating with providers. A fast-paced team environment and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure in the state of Ohio.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum one year of clinical patient care experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and health care team members to meet patient/family needs.
• Provides direct basic nursing care per LPN scope of practice.
• Labels and packages specimens appropriately.
• Assists in indirect care through clerical/administrative duties as needed.
• Acts as a chaperone for health care providers during examinations.
• Assists with procedures, treatments, and interventions.
• Other duties as assigned.
