Job summary

Responsibilities include data entry, customer service, and participating in quality assurance and accreditation activities. The role may involve mentoring less experienced staff and supporting departmental performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school in Cardiac Sonography Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Sonography Technology (preferred).
• Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiogram tests on patients: prepares patients for the test, explains test, positions patients, selects imaging techniques, ensures image quality.
• Enters and monitors patient data; demonstrates customer service and escalates issues as needed.
• Performs quality assurance on the equipment and assists with accreditation processes.
• Identifies and reports accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to the Supervisor/Manager.
• Supports department goals and participates in performance improvement activities; serves as a preceptor and mentor.
