Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a skilled Echocardiography Technician to perform comprehensive echocardiograms for physician diagnosis and treatment. You will prepare patients, position them for optimal imaging, and ensure high-quality images while maintaining safety and compassion.

The role requires graduation from an accredited cardiac sonography or radiologic technology program, BLS/ALS certification, and ARDMS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International credentials such as

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiac Sonography Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Sonography Technology.
• Licenses/Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) or ALS (Advanced Life Support) required.
• Credentials: RCS, RCCS, or RDCS from Cardiovascular Credentialing International or ARDMS.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiogram tests on patients: prepares patients, explains the test, positions patients, selects imaging techniques, ensures image quality.
• Enters and monitors patient data.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service and escalates issues as needed.
• Performs quality assurance on ultrasound equipment and may assist with accreditation processes.
• Responds to emergencies and follows Memorial Hermann policies.
