Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a Program Manager I in Cardiology to lead clinical research within the Heart Failure program. You will supervise a team of coordinators and assistants, and manage complex trials for high-quality study coordination.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager II, you will oversee trial processes, regulatory compliance, and study documentation, while communicating with PI, sponsors, and CRAs to ensure timely study milestones.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and three years relevant program experience.
• Strong knowledge of Cardiology-Heart Failure required.
• Experience coordinating clinical trials with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• 35% - Supervision and Management of Research Staff: supervise coordinators and assistants; manage trial processes; mentor new staff.
• 35% - Study Management: coordinate visits, assess patients (e.g., vitals), manage data and regulatory documents.
• 10% - Project Management: track study performance and participate in meetings.
• 10% - Budget Management: monitor billing and External data sources; optimize costs.
• 10% - General Administrative Support: contribute to process improvements and other duties.
