The University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics is seeking a heart failure cardiologist for a faculty position. The role includes outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, with opportunities for teaching and research. Iowa City offers a vibrant community with cultural and recreational activities.
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible heart failure cardiologist. The position is available at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, on either a tenure or clinical (non-tenure) track, based on qualifications. Please note, this position is not eligible for University sponsorship for employment authorization.
The successful candidate will work at UIHC, IRL, outreach locations, and may have some clinical effort at the Iowa City VA Medical Center. Responsibilities include outpatient clinic work, including outreach clinics, inpatient cardiomyopathy rounding, assisting in donor calls, and potentially performing right heart catheterizations and/or endomyocardial biopsies, if desired.
While not required, a demonstrated record of scholarly work and/or educational involvement and teaching is preferred.
