Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Heart Institute is seeking a Medical Assistant to support surgeons, cardiologists, and advanced practice providers across General Cardiology and subspecialties. This full-time role on the Boise Regional Medical Center campus emphasizes teamwork, patient education, and clinical support for heart care services.

Expect EKGs, heart monitor setup, prior authorizations, and patient communications; prior experience in cardiac care is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
• MA certification required within 90 days of hire from Saint Alphonsus approved agencies.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs and place heart monitors on patients; educate patients on use.
• Complete prior authorizations and patient calls; manage in-basket tasks.
• Be a team player who is self-motivated, driven, and fosters relationships with physicians and patients.
• Experience with cardiac medications, EKGs, and rhythm knowledge is a plus.
