Job summary

American Hearing Care in Brevard, NC is seeking an entry-level Medical Device Sales Rep and Hearing Instrument Specialist Trainee. You will learn hearing care, technology, and consultative sales while pursuing licensure in North Carolina.

The role offers a structured training program, company-funded study materials, and a clear pathway toward licensure. Base salary ranges $45,000–$50,000 plus commission, with health benefits and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior hearing healthcare experience required.
• Sales, customer service or consumer-facing experience preferred.
• Willing to pursue NC licensure as a Hearing Instrument Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Learn to conduct hearing screenings and evaluations under supervision.
• Educate patients about hearing loss and available solutions.
• Learn to fit, program, adjust and troubleshoot devices.
• Provide follow-up care to achieve successful outcomes.
• Develop consultative sales skills and present solutions professionally.
• Build strong patient relationships and deliver an exceptional experience.
• Work toward sales goals and KPIs.
• Complete training and supervised experience for NC licensure.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with requirements.
