Social Security Disability Attorney

Location: Charlotte, NC (In-Office Position)

Salary Range: $75,000 – $100,000 (based on experience)

The Law Offices of Martin, Jones & Piemonte is seeking an energetic, motivated, and dedicated Social Security Disability Attorney to join our Charlotte, North Carolina office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about advocacy and ready to take ownership of cases while contributing to a collaborative and client-focused team environment.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience handling Social Security disability hearings or comparable courtroom experience and will be excited to take on challenging cases, develop strong legal strategies, and fight for favorable outcomes on behalf of clients.

This role offers the opportunity to not only manage a caseload independently, but also serve as a key point of leadership within the Charlotte office—helping guide day-to-day operations and support the team’s success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in Social Security Disability hearings and related proceedings
  • Review and analyze medical records and case files to develop effective case strategies
  • Prepare clients for hearings and provide ongoing case updates
  • Draft legal briefs, memoranda, and other correspondence
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients, providers, and staff
  • Collaborate with case managers and support staff to move cases forward efficiently
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented office environment
  • Assist in overseeing daily workflow and supporting team operations within the Charlotte office as needed
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in South Carolina
  • Admitted to, or willing to seek admission to, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina
  • 1–2 years of experience handling Social Security Disability hearings or comparable litigation experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop a theory of the case
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to take on complex or challenging cases
  • Commitment to continuous growth and becoming a stronger advocate for clients
