Job summary

i-80 Gold is seeking a Heap Leach Pad Operator for Lone Tree Mine in Valmy, NV. This entry-level role supports the safe operation of heap leach facilities, performing inspections, monitoring, and routine maintenance while coordinating with operations and maintenance teams.

You will help manage solution distribution systems, pipelines, pumps, ponds, and leach pad infrastructure, following safety policies and environmental requirements to maximize recovery and maintain accurate logs.

Qualifications

• Experience in mining, construction, industrial, agricultural, or heavy equipment.
• Basic knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, and mechanical equipment.
• Willingness to learn operational processes and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of leach pads, ponds, pipelines, pumps and related equipment.
• Monitor and record operational data including flow rates and pond levels.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of distribution systems.
• Identify and report malfunctions, leaks, spills or hazards.
• Maintain logs, inspection reports, and shift documentation.
• Support environmental compliance and teamwork across departments.
