Job summary

I-80 Gold Corp is seeking an Environmental Technician 1 to support the environmental team at Lone Tree Mine in Valmy, NV. The role focuses on field sampling, monitoring water and soil, data management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include routine sampling, site inspections, and assisting with waste management and spill response, while working with operations and engineering to maintain safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required.
• 2–3 years post-secondary certificate in Environmental Science or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 0–2+ years environmental fieldwork experience is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine compliance sampling and monitoring per permits and regulations.
• Perform field measurements with approved equipment; ensure proper sample handling.
• Maintain field notes and enter data into databases and spreadsheets.
• Calibrate and maintain field monitoring equipment and gear.
• Carry out environmental site inspections to identify non-compliance or risks.
• Support waste management, spill response, and erosion control activities.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering; assist training on environmental topics.
