Golden Valley Electric Association in Healy, Alaska, is seeking a Healy Operations Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of the Healy Plant, applying expertise in power plant operation and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least five years' operations experience in an industrial coal-fired plant or related field.
• Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills.
• Experience with electric and mechanical utility systems and labor contract administration.
• Contractor supervision experience and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Operations Manager with day-to-day operations activities.
• Maintain the EAM maintenance system; review work requests and monitor work orders.
• Assist in investigations of near misses and accidents and report findings.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and communicate with work groups.
