Job summary

Philips in Plymouth, MN invites undergraduate and/or graduate students to join a 6-month paid co-op in Software Systems Engineering within the Image Guided Therapy Devices Software R&D group. You will help define and verify requirements for the IVUS Clinical Imaging Software Application.

You will collaborate with software systems engineers, developers, product owners and testers to translate clinical use scenarios into traceable design inputs, and gain hands-on experience in medical device

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related engineering field.
• Basic exposure to software development concepts.
• Knowledge of C++, Java, C#, or Python is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify co-op work that can be completed during the assignment.
• Assist with system decomposition and allocation of derived requirements.
• Learn systems engineering methods and tools for software requirements.
• Support reviews of design specifications and interfaces.
• Document software system–user interaction models.
• Complete training for regulatory and quality requirements.
• Create and present an end‑of‑assignment presentation summarizing the work completed.
