Job summary

Lemontree Healthcare is seeking a Trash Technician to support Environment Services in a healthcare setting in Miami. The role involves collecting, segregating, and disposing of waste (general, biohazard, pharmaceutical) while adhering to OSHA and infection control policies.

You will also perform cleaning of waste areas and assist with deep cleaning projects. Full-time schedule (Mon-Fri and weekends) with a 3:00pm-11:30pm shift and a pay rate of $15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare or janitorial experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move heavy trash bags and waste containers.
• Familiarity with waste disposal and safety protocols in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of waste from designated areas within the healthcare facility.
• Segregate waste into categories (general, biohazard, recyclable, pharmaceutical).
• Transport waste to disposal areas and maintain containment and labeling.
• Follow PPE, infection control, and OSHA guidelines while handling waste.
• Maintain cleanliness of waste collection areas and related spaces.
• Assist in deep cleaning projects and seasonal cleaning tasks.
