Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting or physician’s practice preferred.
• BLS certification (ARC or AHA) within 30 days and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the communication needs of the department and transcribes physician orders when needed.
• Prepares and maintains patient records and collects forms for daily use.
• Orders supplies for the unit and assists nursing staff with indirect patient care.
