Qualifications

• Working knowledge of medical terminology and experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Current and active CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephone in a courteous manner and communicates information clearly.
• Ensures call lights and messages are answered promptly and delivered in a timely manner.
• Update and maintain medical records; prepare patient records and charts for daily treatments and assist in auditing records for ongoing compliance.
• Prioritizes and organizes the nursing unit station, keeping it clean and presentable.
• Notifies appropriate staff of patients' needs; follows up to ensure needs are addressed.
• Orders and stocks supplies for the unit; orders equipment for the unit as needed.
• Serves as liaison between physicians, staff and other departments.
• Maintains confidentiality of privileged information.
• This position also has contact with physicians, nurses, visitors, and patients.
• All other duties as assigned.
