Job summary

Cayuga Health is seeking a Unit Clerk for Cayuga Medical Center, 4 South Telemetry, in Ithaca, NY. This full-time daytime role supports nursing staff and patient care in a fast-paced hospital unit with a 12-hour shift (06:45am–07:15pm), every third weekend and holidays as assigned.

Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center, you will answer calls, deliver messages, manage charts, and coordinate transfers while delivering compassionate, high-quality care to our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CPR/BLS certification may be required for your care area.
• Prior patient care and/or clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone and deliver messages.
• Prepare and organize charts; assist with transfer paperwork.
• Coordinate bed assignments with nurses and support staff.
• Assist with patient care activities as needed.
