Highmark Inc. is offering the Summer 2027 Underwriting Undergraduate Internship to provide hands-on experience in underwriting operations, pricing analysis, and financial evaluation within a healthcare and insurance setting.

Interns will work with the Labor & Education Underwriting Team and interact with experienced underwriters to support new business and renewal activities. The program emphasizes practical training in account pricing, reporting, data analysis, and tool development, with

Qualifications

Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Responsabilités

Assist with pricing and risk evaluation for new and renewal business.
Support client reporting activities and analyze financial data.
Participate in projects to enhance underwriting tools and processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
Gain exposure to underwriting principles, risk assessment, pricing strategies, and financial analysis.
Engage in mentorship, project-based learning, and professional development opportunities.
Develop analytical and communication skills through hands-on underwriting work.
