Highmark Inc. invites applications for the Summer 2027 Underwriting Undergraduate Internship.

This program provides hands-on exposure to underwriting operations, pricing analysis, and financial evaluation within a healthcare and insurance context. Interns will work with the Labor & Education Underwriting Team to support new business and renewals, while developing analytical and communication skills through mentorship and project-based learning.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university bachelor's program.
• Currently pursuing a degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics.

Responsabilités

• Communicate effectively with colleagues, clientele, and internal/external constituencies in planning assignments and resolving problems.
• Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services appropriate to day-to-day operating objectives.
• Undertake and participate in projects and programs to develop professional skills and expertise.
• Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
• Conduct research and reporting with recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the operating unit.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
