Job summary

Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, seeks a Healthcare Transactional & Regulatory Associate with 3-5 years of healthcare regulatory and/or transactional experience to join its Healthcare Practice Group in Los Angeles (preferred) or Seattle.

The associate will work with experienced healthcare attorneys on matters involving healthcare operations, compliance, and transactions for providers and health systems, including regulatory counseling and reimbursement issues.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 3-5 years of healthcare regulatory and/or transactional experience.
• Prior law firm experience preferred.
• Strong drafting and contract negotiation skills.
• Experience advising healthcare clients on operational and regulatory matters.
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, fraud and abuse regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating healthcare-related agreements and contracts.
• Advising healthcare providers and health systems on regulatory issues.
• Counseling clients regarding healthcare compliance, regulatory requirements, and operational risk management.
• Advising on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement matters.
• Analyzing healthcare regulatory issues, including fraud and abuse regulations and governance considerations.
• Supporting healthcare transactions and related due diligence efforts.
• Collaborating on matters involving digital health, healthcare technology, and regulatory strategy.
