Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking Standardized Participants to assist in healthcare training scenarios in Peoria, IL. You will portray patients or family members for student learning and assessment, under supervision, to help evaluate clinical skills and communication.

Roles require reliability, the ability to follow instructions, and comfort with examinations and being on camera. Training is provided; a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, and some weekends may be involved.

Qualifications

• Must be able to portray a person other than self in a standardized way.
• Must be comfortable with repeated physical examination maneuvers.
• Willing to wear hospital gown on camera or observed live.
• Must be objective when interacting with examinees of all backgrounds.
• Strong reading and writing skills to absorb case training and exam procedures.
• Reliable in following rules and procedures for the exam.

Responsibilities

• Portray standardized participants in simulations for student learning.
• Be interviewed and examined by students as part of the learning environment.
• Provide feedback to students on communication and interpersonal skills.
