Job summary

Highmark Health is offering the Summer 2027 Software Engineer enGen Graduate Internship to graduate students aiming to build hands-on experience in enterprise healthcare software solutions. The role is embedded in the DCSS application development team and focuses on application development, API integrations, cloud-enabled solutions, and modernization efforts.

Interns will work with software engineers, architects, analysts, and product owners across the SDLC in an Agile setting, gaining exposure

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

Develop and test application components within enterprise healthcare technology solutions.
Support APIs and system integrations across components.
Analyze application issues and contribute to modernization efforts.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Assist in solution design, coding, testing, and documentation.
Contribute to cloud-enabled initiatives and enterprise architecture efforts.
Perform miscellaneous duties as needed within the project scope.
