Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers a ten-week summer IT internship where you will assist with projects, learn through exposure to multiple languages and tools, and support the healthcare needs of Kansans.

During the internship you will engage in software troubleshooting, requirements analysis, data modelling, design and development, testing, and implementation planning. Hybrid or onsite work is available under the Telecommuting Policy.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with at least 6 CS credits.
• Strong written and verbal communication; professional demeanor.
• Familiarity with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with IT projects, initiatives, and support during the ten-week internship.
• Troubleshoot software and interact with end-users.
• Analyze problems, gather requirements, and implement solutions.
• Apply SDLC, design, and development concepts across multiple technologies.
• Present your work and internship learnings to the team.
• Attend a volunteer activity with other interns within the company.
