Job summary

South Western Communications is seeking a Healthcare Technician to install, troubleshoot and maintain electronic communication systems including VOIP, nurse call, CCTV, and fire alarm applications. You will perform final hookup and programming for new jobs, respond to service issues, document readings, and train customers on proper equipment use.

Qualifications

• Two-year electronics degree or equivalent with 1–3 years related field experience.
• Working knowledge of communications systems required.
• Experience with VoIP, telephony, data networks, wireless data, fire alarm, CCTV, sound systems, or nurse call applications preferred.
• Cisco and Microsoft certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the final hookup and programming of electronics equipment for new jobs.
• Responds to customer's service-related issues promptly.
• Tests and documents readings for customer's systems.
• Updates customer files.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electronic components.
• Handles on-call duties on a regular schedule.
• Trains and instructs the customer on proper use of the equipment.
• Reads and interprets wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Operates test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Multi-meter, Impedance Meter.
