Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Materials Management professional for the PCH-MAIN Distribution & Central Supply team in Phoenix. You will handle receiving, ordering, stock, and distribution to ensure continuous supply for clinical and non-clinical areas.

Responsibilities include processing routine and ad hoc orders, maintaining accurate inventory in ERP systems, supporting cycle counts, and coordinating urgent deliveries. This role may require shifts at other facilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent or 5 years experience in Inventory, Materials Management, or Supply Chain.
  • 1 year customer service experience preferred.
  • 1 year experience in a supply chain inventory or distribution role preferred.
  • Electric Pallet Jack Training Certification preferred.
  • Arizona Driver's License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Places routine and ad hoc supply orders and distributes and stocks supplies to all supply locations in accordance with clinical priorities and established policies and procedures. Coordinates deliveries of supplies/other products to off-site clinics and/or facilities as needed. Monitors expiration dates, min/max levels, and kanban according to established standards. Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  • Receives incoming shipments into ERP system and confirms units of measure and appropriate dispensing units. Assists in resolving and reporting issues related to incoming item damages, substitutions, back orders, and misdirected orders.
  • Maintains current inventory records by using appropriate Supply Chain Technologies (e.g., eStock, Lawson, etc.) to accurately document movement of supplies to provide up-to-date inventory information. Participates in regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy of stock levels in all areas.
  • Proactively provides recommendations on operational efficiency improvements to Supply Chain Management. Collaborates with other Supply Chain stakeholders and departmental leaders to adjust par levels and address slow-moving items based on supply usage.
  • Receives urgent supply requests from departments, verifies urgent nature, and if necessary, coordinates immediate delivery of items ensuring accuracy and timeliness of response in accordance with established standards.
  • Stocks and replenishes code carts, mother carts, and airway bags to provide for ongoing availability of required items in accordance with established policies and procedures. Troubleshoots supply shortage issues and reports known impacts to Supply Chain leaders and Inventory Control.
  • Re-stocks clean equipment rooms by established par levels and delivers equipment upon request.
  • Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
