Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Supply Chain Technician to support daily hospital supply chain operations, including receiving, inventory management, stocking, distribution, and procurement activities. The role provides coverage across Supply Chain functions to ensure continuity of operations.

The successful candidate will work across multiple areas, assist with routine ordering, and back up team members during absences while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels and anticipate supply needs to prevent shortages and overstock.
• Implement inventory control practices, including FIFO principles.
• Conduct regular audits and physical counts of inventory to maintain accuracy.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure they match purchase orders and meet quality and safety standards.
• Identify and report damaged, expired, or recalled items to the Supply Chain Manager.
• Coordinate with hospital departments to fulfill supply requests and ensure timely and accurate distribution.
• Ensure requested supplies meet quality and safety standards.
• Accurately document all procurement and inventory-related activities.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of purchases, received shipments, and supply distribution.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA and hospital policies.
