UPMC Harrisburg is seeking a full-time Supervisor of Supply Chain Operations to lead the Central Service function, ensuring quality of service and budget accountability. You will oversee operations, staff development, and the reprocessing of sterile supplies and equipment to support patient care.

This role works Monday–Friday during standard daylight hours. You will collaborate across departments, implement policies, monitor performance, and guide continuous improvement to keep our hospital

Responsabilidades

• Recommend interdepartmental and department policies and procedures on operations in areas of responsibility.
• Maintain a positive attitude during interactions with all hospital personnel, patients, and visitors.
• Monitor the completion of employee time cards and associated documentation.
• Maintain Operating Room linen within Central Service and deliver linens and basins to the OR daily.
• Implement and maintain accurate position descriptions and performance standards for subordinates; review performance annually.
• Ensure hospital policies and procedures are followed and apply disciplinary procedures when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate tracking for all utilized equipment.
• Interpret monthly activity data for Central Sterile functions; identify trends and advise on actions.
• Serve as Central Service representative to hospital user groups on operations, purchasing, rental, and financial matters.
• Repair non-operational equipment upon arrival into the department.
• Perform pick-ups of soiled items for reprocessing.
• Select, evaluate, develop, motivate, and counsel subordinates.
• Clean and prepare all items for reprocessing.
• Assist in development and monitoring of operating and capital budgets; prepare monthly variance reports.
• Batch/prep unit charges and equipment vouchers daily.
• Make equipment rounds per shift and return serviced equipment to the Distribution Center.
• Keep department clean and organized while following aseptic techniques.
• Maintain awareness of changes in departmental procedures and policies.
