Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Operations Coordinator - SCL to join our supply chain logistics team in Chicago. This role supervises work assignments, strengthens processes, and helps ensure timely, accurate delivery of logistics operations across the department.

You will mentor staff, monitor KPIs, participate in interviews, onboarding, and training, and collaborate with management to document standard work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, prioritizes and adjusts work assignments to ensure timely and accurate completion of all activities for the supply chain logistics teams in assigned areas.
• Acts as a liaison on behalf of the level one manager.
• Participates in interviewing, hiring, training, progressive discipline, dismissals, and performance appraisals.
• Utilizes productivity reports to measure department performance in comparison to KPIs.
• Provides mentoring and coaching to supply chain logistics team.
• Resolves complex or critical situations involving technology, customers, staff, and other supply chain management personnel.
• Monitors daily activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
