Job summary

UP Health System - Portage, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Supply Chain Technician to manage purchasing activities, inventory control, and vendor relations. You will use Paragon, GHX and other systems to optimize procurement, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

You will collaborate with the Materials Management team and hospital staff to ensure timely stocking, accurate pricing, and professional service across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains contacts with vendors and suppliers.
• Uses MMIS to track supply usage and streamline procurement for service departments.
• Analyze market conditions and vendor information to obtain purchase data.
• Reconcile price discrepancies and update item master data.
• Directs inventories and ensures regulatory compliance and safety standards.
