Qualifications

• Requires business, math and communications skills as evidenced by an associates in business or procurement or equivalent experience.
• Two or more years experience in Materials Management and/or medical field, with understanding of medical supplies and inventory management.
• Effective verbal and written communication, leadership and customer service skills.
• Keyboarding skills and ability to use a materials management information system.

Responsibilities

• Procurement, receipt, distribution, and charging of medical supplies for assigned areas.
• Regular inventory counts; monitor usages, shelf life, stock rotation; determine optimal inventory levels.
• Forecast upcoming needs from schedules, physician preference cards; order special items and coordinate receipt and delivery.
• Use MMIS for ordering, tracking, charging, and reporting; update system files per policies.
