The incumbent will create and maintain schedules, monitor attendance and overtime, coordinate replacements, and collaborate with department heads and HR to align staffing with census and resident care needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in healthcare administration preferred.
• 1-2 years in staffing, scheduling, or administration in healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
• Proficiency in scheduling software and EHR; knowledge of labor laws and overtime management.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain staff schedules for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Adjust schedules for last-minute changes due to absences or patient needs.
• Monitor attendance, overtime, and shift swaps, ensuring legal compliance and policy adherence.
• Communicate schedule changes promptly to staff.
• Track attendance, vacations, and leave requests; coordinate replacements.
• Collaborate with nursing supervisors and HR to address staffing needs and issues.
• Assist in recruiting and onboarding by supporting scheduling for new hires.
• Serve as a point of contact for scheduling inquiries and conflicts.
