The role requires strong organizational skills and experience with scheduling software and EHR systems, with a high school diploma and 1–3 years in healthcare staffing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of staffing/scheduling experience in healthcare or long-term care preferred.
• Proficiency with scheduling software and EHR systems.
• Knowledge of labor laws and overtime management.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain staff schedules for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Adjust schedules for last-minute changes due to absences or patient needs.
• Monitor time-off, overtime, and shift swaps, ensuring compliance with laws and policies.
• Communicate schedule changes to staff promptly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with nursing supervisors and HR to address staffing needs.
• Assist in recruitment and onboarding to fill open positions.
• Serve as the scheduling contact for staff and leadership.
• Maintain accurate records of schedules, time-off requests, and shifts for audits.
• Be prepared for emergency staffing and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
