Job summary

Brighton Health Plan Solutions, LLC is seeking a motivated Programmer Analyst to join our application support team for healthcare claims processing applications.

You will gather requirements, translate them to technical specs, and support data transformations, SQL queries, and AI-assisted code prototyping. The role emphasizes collaboration across IT and business teams and requires a strong SDLC foundation and healthcare domain familiarity.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in application development, programming, or systems analysis.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Familiar with use of AI for code generation; Agent's usage preferred.
• Experience with SQL queries that includes extracting data, triaging, updating and inserting.
• Healthcare TPA or insurer environment experience with claims adjudication and ancillary applications preferred.
• Familiarity with Healthcare EDI transactions including 800 and 200 series.
• Self-motivated and capable of independently learning new technologies, processes, and skills with minimal supervision.
• Ability to understand complex Healthcare payment rules and design/build implementations.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements to build solution designs.
• Handle data transformation activities effectively.
• Analyze business requirements and translate into technical specifications.
• Program new provider physician rate builds and manage rate changes.
• Program new benefit configuration and manage benefit changes.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues promptly.
• Interact with system vendors to enhance applications with new features.
• Collaborate with IT and non-IT personnel to complete tasks.
• Participate in upgrades, releases, and deployment activities.
• Coordinate with offshore teams to deliver projects on time and with quality.
