Job summary

Brighton Health Plan Solutions, LLC is seeking a Programmer Analyst to join our application support team handling critical healthcare claims processing applications. You will gather requirements, analyze data, and translate business needs into technical specs while working with SQL and AI-assisted prototyping tools.

The role requires 1–3 years in development or analysis, familiarity with SDLC, and experience with healthcare payer environments and Healthcare EDI transactions.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in application development or systems analysis.
• Understanding of SDLC methodologies.
• Familiar with AI for code generation and agent usage.
• Experience with SQL queries for data extraction, triage, update and insert.
• Healthcare TPA/insurer environment experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Healthcare EDI transactions (800/200 series).
• Ability to learn new technologies with minimal supervision.
• Understands complex healthcare payment rules and systems.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements to design solutions.
• Handle data transformation activities.
• Translate business requirements into technical specs.
• Program provider rate builds and hospital contracts; manage rate changes.
• Configure benefits and manage ongoing changes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly.
• Collaborate with vendors to enhance features and with IT and non-IT staff.
• Participate in upgrades, releases, and deployments.
• Coordinate with offshore teams to meet timelines and quality.
