Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Space Management Specialist to optimize hospital and system-wide space utilization, maintain current floor plans, and coordinate space requests across facilities.

The role reports to the Associate Director for Facilities Design and Construction and requires CAD/Drafting experience, an Associate degree, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in CAD & Drafting or equivalent; Bachelor's preferred.
• 1–2 years CAD/drafting experience required.
• Healthcare facilities experience preferred.
• ASHE CHC certification within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing space activities for construction and renovation projects.
• Maintain hospital/system plans and drawings for on- and off-campus facilities.
• Research space planning issues and update signage as required.
• Supervise moving projects including furniture/equipment coordination.
• Develop and oversee a complete inventory of building and space data.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and municipal codes for facilities.
• Coordinate space-altering projects across campuses and support occupants.
