Job summary

SONIFI Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead multiple software teams and drive delivery, quality, and talent development across programs. You’ll oversee resource planning, process improvement, and stakeholder alignment in a fast-paced healthcare tech environment.

Requirements include a CS/SE degree, 10+ years in software development, 4+ years leading engineering teams, and strong Agile and full-stack experience with AWS and modern web technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of four years managing software engineering teams and at least 10 years of software development experience.
• Experience delivering software products through Agile development and full-stack web environments.
• Knowledge of modern development languages and platforms including AWS CDK, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, EventBridge, IAM, Cognito; Python; TypeScript/JavaScript; React/Redux; PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MySQL, REST.
• Healthcare industry experience building hospital clinical workflow apps and HL7/patient data.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership to motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead resource forecasting and capacity planning across multiple development programs.
• Define and drive development process and quality initiatives.
• Measure team performance using metrics related to quality, delivery, and efficiency.
• Own delivery accountability and ensure clear communication of progress and risks.
• Identify, attract, recruit, and retain engineering talent; onboard new hires.
• Set and manage objectives and KPIs aligned with business priorities.
• Communicate progress and decisions clearly across teams and stakeholders.
