Job summary

enGen Summer 2027 Software Engineer Graduate Internship provides graduate students with hands-on experience developing and modernizing enterprise healthcare technology solutions.

Embedded within the DCSS application development team, the intern will contribute to application development, API integrations, cloud-enabled solutions, and modernization initiatives that support critical business and healthcare operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university.
• Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to plan assignments and resolve day-to-day operational problems.
• Under supervision, provide professional services as appropriate to day-to-day operating objectives; receive guidance and mentoring from senior personnel.
• Undertake and participate in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise.
• Participate in planning and implementing unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise and ability.
• Conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the objectives of the operating unit.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
