Job summary

enGen Summer 2027 Software Engineer internship provides graduate students with hands-on experience developing and modernizing enterprise healthcare technology solutions.

Embedded within the DCSS application development team, the intern will contribute to application development, API integrations, cloud-enabled solutions, and modernization initiatives that support critical business and healthcare operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and internal/external constituencies in planning assignments and resolving day-to-day problems.
• Under supervision, provide professional services as appropriate to day-to-day operating objectives, with guidance from senior personnel.
• Undertake and/or participate in projects/programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise for the organization.
• Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise and ability.
• Conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or alternative proposals for action as requested by management.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the objectives of the operating unit.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
