Job summary

Orbis Education is seeking a Simulation Operation Specialist to maintain and set up nursing simulation labs, stock supplies, and manage student lab operations. The role emphasizes customer service with faculty and students and reports to the Director, Nursing Services.

The position is onsite with standard hours, offering a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development, supporting simulation-based education at the partner university.

Qualifications

• Interest in healthcare simulation and customer service experience.
• Knowledge of databases, the Internet, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
• PC use, Internet access, and basic nursing equipment familiarity.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Two or more years of simulation experience in education settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides support in the use of simulation in healthcare settings.
• Prepares and maintains lab equipment and materials related to simulation.
• Operates patient simulators for the duration of simulations.
• Assists in training faculty in the use of simulation equipment and collaborates in maintenance and repair.
• Sets up and tears down rooms in preparation for simulations.
• Provides recommendations on equipment, supplies and materials.
• Maintains knowledge of simulation equipment catalogs and manuals.
• May operate and maintain audio/visual equipment.
