Gainwell Technologies in the United States is seeking a Healthcare Senior Professional Application Developer to deliver high-quality software solutions across the SDLC. You will collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to design, build, test, and deploy applications that support health programs.

This role offers a fully remote work option within the US, travel up to 0-10%, and a pay range of $72,800 to $104,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of programming, application development, and batch programming in C, Unix, and Linux.
• Strong SQL/Oracle/SQL Server experience for data querying.
• Experience with system integration, scripting, and SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
• Healthcare/Medicaid IT experience and regulatory familiarity preferred.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem solving, and DevOps/CI/CD capabilities with cloud exposure (Azure/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Execute change control and support deployments.

Your role in our mission

• Develop, maintain, and support high-quality application solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
• Execute change control activities and support the successful deployment of application enhancements and system updates.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze needs, and implement effective solutions.
• Analyze and resolve technical and functional issues through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem‑solving.
• Support and enhance existing C/Unix-based applications and systems while ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance application quality, development processes, and operational efficiency.
• Assist in evaluating technical solutions and recommendations to support project and organizational objectives.
• Design, develop, test, document, and maintain application software, including server, client, and web‑based components.
• Participate in technical design activities and contribute to the development of application architecture components and solution designs.
• Work closely with architects, developers, and other team members to ensure technical solutions meet functional and business requirements.
• Develop functional specifications, technical designs, and implementation plans based on project requirements.

• Collaborate with software developers, analysts, testers, and business stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes for Gainwell and its clients.

What we’re looking for

• 4+ Years of Programming, Application Development, and Batch Programming Experience Using C, Unix, and Linux
• Strong SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and Relational Database Experience for Data Querying and Data Structures
• Experience with System Integration, Scripting, Software Development, and SDLC Methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
• Preferred Experience with Medicaid IT Systems, Healthcare Systems, and Regulatory Environments
• Strong Communication, Stakeholder Management, Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis, Project Management, Cloud Platforms (Azure and AWS), and DevOps/CI/CD Practices
