Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, GA seeks a Security Training Specialist to design, deliver, and evaluate security education across the organization. You will work with Security leadership, Emergency Preparedness, HR, and clinical teams to ensure staff are prepared to handle workplace violence, emergencies, visitor management, and safety issues.

This role requires a high school diploma and at least three years in security or related fields; preferred credentials include healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years in security, law enforcement, military, emergency management, healthcare operations, training, or related field.
• Healthcare security experience preferred; instructor certifications and related training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and deliver standardized security training programs for officers, including onboarding and annual education.
• Coordinate security training related to workplace violence prevention, de-escalation, emergency procedures, and access control.
• Assess training needs and design education plans based on incident trends and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain training records and evidence for accreditation, audits, and regulatory reviews.
• Create lesson plans, drills, scenarios, and evaluation tools to reinforce consistent practices.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to deliver security awareness for non-security staff.
