Job summary

Responsibilities

• Investigates incidents and disturbances to maintain security of patients, staff and visitors.
• Completes descriptive reports for supervisory personnel.
• Notifies city officials and prepares reports for supervisory personnel.
• Performs patrols of hospital facilities to protect patients and property.
• Monitors access control, alarms and security video systems.
• Controls traffic for emergency vehicles and helicopter transports.
• Maintains security of restricted areas and provides escorts as needed.
• Responds to emergency codes per guidelines.
• Conducts contraband searches as needed.
• Oversees parking permits processes and related compliance.
