Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Public Safety/Security Shift Coordinator to oversee assigned activities, lead investigations, review reports, and coordinate emergency response for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff. This role requires flexibility to work all shifts and weekends and includes monitoring cameras and card access systems.

Responsibilities include leading operations, ensuring safety, and providing high-quality security services across the facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education is required.
• Associate’s degree in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• Two years security or related field experience.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees assigned activities of the Public Safety/Security department.
• Provides assignments, leads investigations and reviews reports for accuracy.
• Coordinates emergency response services and traffic control.
• Monitors security operations and ensures safety for patients, visitors, physicians and staff.
