Houston Methodist is seeking a Security Officer responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors by patrolling hospital premises and monitoring security systems. This role supports personal protection, traffic control and emergency response services with Houston Methodist-approved defensive tactics where needed.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent, security-related experience preferred, and must obtain required licenses

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education required.
• Criminal justice, security or related experience preferred.
• Security Officer license and Texas driver license within defined timelines.
• IAHSS certification within 90 days and CPI within 60 days.

Responsabilités

• Maintain safety and security for patients, staff and visitors.
• Patrol facilities, monitor surveillance and control access as needed.
• Respond to emergency codes and assist with incident reporting.
• Provide professional customer service and communicate clearly with staff and patients.
