Job summary

Covenant HealthCare is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe work environment for patients, guests, and staff. Responsibilities include monitoring safety programs, investigating security incidents, and providing assistance when needed.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a high school diploma, and a valid Michigan driver’s license. Previous experience in security or military service is preferred. This role requires a commitment to training and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Michigan Drivers license.
• Experience in security, loss prevention or military service preferred.
• Must complete Field Training Officer Training Program within six months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure physical safety of patients and guests.
• Monitor safety and security programs.
• Investigate security incidents in the facility.
• Provide assistance to motorists following guidelines.
• Handle unruly customers with positive outcomes.
• Transport patients and property safely.
• Assure proper admittance and release of deceased bodies.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Skills

Basic computer knowledge/skills

Excellent written and verbal skills

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Associates degree in law enforcement, criminal justice or security
