Job summary

Hunt Regional Healthcare seeks a Security Officer I to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will patrol facilities, monitor activity, report incidents, and assist in emergency responses while upholding hospital policies and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include directing traffic, escorting individuals, and participating in training to ensure safety and compliance. Requires a high school diploma or GED and ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Knowledge of investigative procedures, de-escalating violence, facility security, infant/child abduction and protection mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe and secure environment by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
• Directs traffic and reports irregularities; completes incident reports.
• Escorts visitors, patients and staff as needed; responds to emergencies.
• Enforces facility policies and participates in security training and performance improvement.
